Starting to look like a motorcycle again. New Fly Handlebars installed. Rear Foot brake assembly back on. Wrapped the header and was going to install and start it up, but must have lost the exhaust gasket. Ordered and the wait continues.

Installed the Fenders and installed the aftermarket copy rear light. Aftermarket Rear Rack is bad design as it sits right on the rear light. Installed the Brush Guards and Battery as well as the Carburetor I rebuilt. This weekend she gets done, hopefully.

Header wrapped and exhaust installed as well as the heat shields. Waiting on the chain scrapers, which was missing. Need to put the finishing touches on the engine cylinder fins and then I can assemble the rest of her.

The devil is in the details. Used the Dremel to sand the fins on the cylinder head as per stock. Installed the Fuel Tank. Had to weld one of the headlights brackets and painted the last pieces.

Look at Google Images. There seems to be a decal of some sort on the RH side of the swing-arm.

Yeah, that's the tire pressure decal. Searched on Google and images and found nothing. If someone has a pic, please post.

The only other places I see a decal is on top of the chain guard and sometimes on the rear fender above the taillight.

I scoured the pics of my previous Fat Cats and I don't have any idea. I'll have to check my videos on youtube.

I have a decent shot of an unrestored original. Post a pic of the decal and I may be able to help.

On (what I believe to be) unrestored originals, this sticker shows up in 2 places. The incorrect placement, which was done at the end of the '87 models, is about 1" behind the seat on the rear fender. I have only seen one with that placement.

In the '86-'87 manual, on page 12-13 and 12-15, you see a low-angle photo of the chain guard, which barely shows the sticker. I happen to have 2 '86 models right now, and they both have the sticker on the chain guard. From the front end of the top of the chain guard, it is placed between 1.25" and 5". It is centered side-to-side.

These pics don't show it well, but they are there and I measured both and the placement is exactly the same.

Beautiful! Assuming 1.25" from the top-front edge, correct?

Yes. If you want to split hairs, you should place the leading edge 1 and 5/16ths away from the top-front edge. Here are some better photos.

They're a bit chewed up, but IMHO, this is the correct position.
