    Sprucing up the 85 250es

Good afternoon! I've had my big red now for about 5 years. Bought it for 100 bucks, put rear tires, a battery and a carb kit and it's been going ever since. Mostly use it for yard work and the occasional cruise around the farm. Looking to do some more trail riding so I needed to do some work. Currently working on fork seals and boots, differential bearings and trying to get the plastic back looking better. The left rear fender has some cracks which I could seal up, but the right fender is gone from the rack down. I do have a set of the oem side covers so I'm wondering if I should be looking for a old right fender or should I buy a set of maier? Also curious about getting a set of handlebars because mine had a slight bend to them. All the help is appreciated

I may have a set of handlebars for you. I can take some pics and send them to you later if you like.

Even if you don't run them, keep ahold of those side covers! The right one is like gold and harder to find.

Maiers plastic for these, including the side covers, are excellent! Very dark shiny red. I would put all Maier on it for a rider. You will not believe the difference it will make! The big trend right now is making a Big Green. Maier has all the plastics in green and as of late they have been on clearance. Great to hear you're giving her some love ! If you don't want those handle bars above, I may.
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

I am turning my PM's Off,my Email is billsracing@hotmail.com,put 3WW in the subject. Thanx!

I like the green look but i have a brand new set of reds waiting to be put on. Had I seen the green earlier, would have definitely skipped the red. Only concern is the tank. No green tank.

I think I'm going to go with the oem look. It may be faded but I just like the look of them so much better then the makers. Just need to find myself a set of rear fenders and it will be complete!
