    $150 86 200x

Thought I would start a thread on this trike.I picked up this 86 200x on Saturday 6/17/17. I was at a local Honda dealer buying new riding goggles for my wife and picking up parts. The owners son asked me if I liked working on trikes.I told him yes he said I have an 86 200x out back if you are interested its rough .I went out looked at it checked if it turned over and had compression and checked a few other things. He was asking $250 for it I offered $100 we settled on $150.I got it running on Monday but it was flooding realy bad. Today I replaced the float needle and it runs great and starts on the first kick. Im going to fix it up for a rider maybe race it once or twice.Click image for larger version.

250R rims I'm guessing. You can get the bracket and rear brake caliper from a place called CyclesRUs in Ohio. They are bolt on and New. Pads of any brand run around $40. I've had no issues with mine.

Yes the front is 83-84 250r rim and hub. The rear are from my 85 250r I swapped them out with the paddle tires that came on it.

They make for a great buddy bike. No arm ripping power but a ton of fun to ride. If you don't want to go through the efforts and expense I understand. You do have a good base to a race trike and it's whole enough. Be a shame to split it up as to passing it along for a few less bucks.

Good score for $150. I'd keep it too and fix her up.

Your gonna like yer 2gen X. Frames are out there not impossible to find; that looks fixable to me. Great thing is your buy in is low and it's worth upward of $1200 in beat plastic running conditions. You put $700 in it and with some elbow grease you'll never go wrong. Great save! Good luck with it.

I need a clutch cable so I can test ride it.I rode it on Monday but it wasnt running very well.Clutch was slipping in higher gears not sure if it was the cable causing it.Anyone have a kick starter for 86-87 200x.

I have a kick starter for an 86 200x, it's missing the small ball bearing and spring in the socket, but I imagine you could come up with a replacement. Right now it wobbles pretty good but works. The arm leans a little forward because it's worn where it latches when you open it to kick. You can have it, not sure what shipping would be for it, but PM me your address and I can get it in the mail tomorrow or the weekend if you want it. I can post a pic of it tonight, I'm at work right now.

Attached are the quick pics you requested 300r. It wouldn't let me post them w/o a URL for your PM, so I gave up while watching my Royals play
