Big red build

Hi, I've been browsing 3ww for a while now and thought i should finally make a post.

Ive got several trikes but the closest to completion is the one ive had apart the most times, its a 1985 big red 250

Came to me beat to all hell, so i tore it down, sandblasted and painted the frame and replaced all the bearings

Then i added a 300 fourtrax engine to it a cobra exhaust, olive green meier plastics and took it the brule trike fest in alberta canada, minus brakes of course

Now im currently working on a front and rear disc brake setup for it which i anticipate being finished within the next couple of weeks as the parts arrive. All honda parts with some custom made brackets


Whats everybody else doing to there big reds/sx or any other trikes you have

Welcome (",) Please share some pics of your build .... does the 300 fourtrax motor fit 100% or did you have to do some customisation?

The fourtrax engine is bolt in, kinda

If you use a 2wd fourtrax 300 engine and swap the output shaft for the big red or sx output. It will bolt in

In order to use the es output you have to drill the oil feed hole slightly larger and bend the line a bit.
