    Atc 110 engine swap

I gave my buddy an old atc 110 i had bought for cheap, letting him keep it if he fixes it. We tore into the ol girl and found a cracked in half frame that someone tried fixing, and a worn out engine with quite a few problems. We found a frame for 50 bucks in mint condition so thats covered, but we have been trying to figure out an engine idea. Itd cost over 300 bucks to fix this engine, but a brand new lifan 125 is about 300 and its new! So what all does this entail to install? How hard is it to bolt it in? What is this Dr. ATV i keep seeing? How bad is it to attach it to the rest of the wiring? Do people have good luck eith these engines? I just have no idea and havent found much. Any feedback is appreciated

It should bolt right in, but I would fix the original engine, seeing lifans in 3 wheelers makes me cringe what does the original engine need done to it.

The original engine needs the head rebuilt, a new piston, new cylinder jug, needs the shiftershaft and shifter, all the gaskets, clutch, some hi/low parts, and whatever else you find while tearing it down. We just wanna get the girl going for now, so thats why we considered a new engine so we could put her in and go.

Oh, well I understand now. As I said the Lifan engine should bolt up to the 2 rear bolts, I think they are shorter so you may have to modify the the front mount. As for wiring I'm not sure, the connecters probably don't match up, but I don't know.
On a side note, do you want to sell the original engine?

Lifan 125s are $275 shipped on Amazon. You might find a 110 on Craigslist, try searching for a Honda trail 110.

You will most likely need a bracket for the aftermarket engine to fit. The Honda 90, 110 and 125cc engines are not the same size as the smaller engines.....

The top bolt may fit, the rear needs a bracket.... dratv sells them.

I've got a 125m sub-trans and shifter shaft and you can bore the cylinder out to 54,55, or 56mm and contact shortline10 on here get a piston for your 110
