1982 Honda ATC185S need new carburetor

I called the distributor for Keihin and Mikuni carburetors and the customer support rep told me that Keihin does not currently make a carb to fit the 185s but Mikuni does. He mentioned the VM 22 and VM 26 as being compatible.

I have also read that many of the carbs sold on ebay or amazon that say mikuni are in fact Chinese manufactured.

If anyone has any information on the above or some experience with replacing a carb on a 185 please tell me where you got the carb and whether you have had reliable service.

The carb that is on the trike now is a Chinese carb bought of ebay for about $24 and hasn't lasted 1 year.

You could try to find one for a 200. Even one for an XR200 would work.
