Well it looks like I get the opportunity to save this machine from the junkyard.
It's been hamfisted and cobbled a bit but shows promise for $160.
It is an '86 with what looks to be '84 seat and fenders and an s or Big Red front fender.
I had an '84 and '85 back when and I'm looking forward to 6th gear. Everyone need 6 gears.

Nice score. Forks might be 84 too. You got more there than $160.

That kicker is swinging from a bolt that was welded to the shaft
Part of the hamfisted cobblejob. That sidecase is smeared with JB weld also.
The hubs were welded to the axle as well but I don't mind a challenge.

Does anyone recognize what this swing arm is off of?

Careful with that all-thread lower shock bolt it could snap on you.

Thanks Shep, I did notice the all thread giving up to the strain.
This machine will go back to OEM completely. Won't be perfect but it will be stock.

Good to hear, Dude, I was wondering which to save, the axle or hub. Thanks.
My concern now its if the heat spoiled the axle.

I was thinking the axle was OEM Honda and the heat from the welding may have hurt it.
I haven't researched much yet. Found a complete unit on fleabarn but I'll wait for something a little less crazy in price.

Thank you, Shep. I can tell by the spline on the rotor side they're not the same.

At the going rate thats not far off.
A good axle is hard to find $150-250
A good carrier is hard to find about $100. Usually
Good Swingarms usually sell for $50-75

Its your call, all depends how deep u wanna go
Then to replace all bearings (rear) theres another $50-ish

Maybe he didn't part those items separately because its fused (rusted)solid ? Who knows?

Just be patient the things you need will show up sooner or later, if your in a rush this bike is not for u. Sell it to me i'll double your $- ha
But worth it in the end!!!

Not in a rush on this one, just staging parts.
I have an '86 350x to button up first then two '85's to finish and then clean up the 200 Big Red.
    I think I need a 12 step program.
Hello, my name is Alan and I am addicted....
