    Carburetor problems

I just got the carburetor off my yamaha 125 tri moto and I was told that whenever they tried to start the trike it poured gas out of the carburetor, What kind of problems should I be looking for because to me the carburetor looks brand new and Im not sure what might be wrong with it? Thanks!

Stuck float, wrong float level, or worn out needle+seat could cause overflowing.

Junk in the tank can occasionally stick in the float valve, keeping it from closing completely. Plus all the above and more. Clean everything and see what happens.
