Thanks, not worried about a curse this year.
Allen and the Ruskie both got hurt, yikes, what a way to go down sucking for air at a mile high. Tough break, but even if they’d won tonight it would have been a hard way to start the playoffs without those guys.
Assuming they both make it to the second round Winnipeg VS Nashville should be worth watching. I hope the altitude in Denver sucks the life out of the Preds and forces 7 games in that series.
It sucks to get old
I'm honestly glad it's over. This was the most uninspiring team I can remember in the last 20 years.

It’s that time again. Same rules as last year. Ladders are below. You have till puck drop prior to any series start to make any changes to your picks.
HOW TO PLAY:
As always anyone can play. Gather points by picking winners using the method of your choice. Don’t worry if you haven’t kept up with hockey this season, or even if you don’t know anything about hockey, just make your picks and say your prayers.
POINTS SYSTEM:
As with previous years I will post a list of pairings for each round. Participants will copy paste and post the list as well as type in a winner and how many of the scheduled 7 games they feel it will take for their pick to get to 4 wins, but again this year to lessen the chance of a tie there are additional points for those who wish to pick Conference winners and a Cup winner at the onset of the playoffs for 5 extra points of each correct Conference pick and 10 for the Cup winner to be added to your totals at the end of the playoffs. If you have any doubt as to how critical these advance picks can be, just ask Mr. Keister.
- Pick your Conference winners (5 points each) and Cup winner (10 points) for up to 20 points
- The first round awards 1 point for picking a winner and 1 point for picking how many games it took the selected team to win the series. Max points for the first round is 16
- The second round awards 2 points for picking a winner and 2 points for picking how many games it took the selected team to win the series. Max points for the second round is 16
- The third round awards 4 points for picking a winner and 4 points for picking how many games it took the selected team to win the series. Max points for the third round is 16
- The final awards 8 points for picking the winner and 8 points for picking how many games it took the selected team to win the series. Max points for the second round is 16

I'm taking a chance on the Predators bringing out the broom first round! Maybe they can run it back like last years first round.

If I may editorialize a bit.
I like the two interstate rivalries. The all California series should be very competitive and compelling.
As for the all Pennsylvania series. We LOVE remind our friends to the east that few of us were alive last time the Flyers won the cup.
I think the Boston / Toronto will be the best series of the first round. Should be some very fun hockey in that one!
Fleury now has a chocolate statue erected in his honor. How will he perform in these playoffs.
And as always, I hope that caveman lookalike in Washington trips over his own skates and s his pants.
