Reports says the wounded guard checked into a hospital four days ago but the medical center has no record of him even checking in let alone being treated. If you were really "immersed" in the gun culture like you claim, you'd know that there was no big uptick in firearms purchases nor did gun or ammo prices skyrocket after this shooting. Although bump stocks sold out for awhile.

I had coworkers saying that very thing. I will also guaranf'ntee you that they are including every little bruise, skinned knee and broken fingernail as an "injury". Thorp, i'm going to be in Vegas in a few weeks and I hope I can stop into planet Hollywood and lose a little bit of money. I can usually get pretty friendly with the dealers, so I hope at some point I can casually mentioned that I know someone who is here when the shooting took place and see what kind of reaction I get. Should be interesting, even if it's only a wink or nod.

So if you look at the timelines ........all of the "other" incidents occurred at or around 10pm ........how does that happen without choreography .........just like the pie piper led rats through the streets ......swaying to the symphony ....of destruction .......your acting like a robot ........what did they do ?........call the shooter and say what time is good for you ????? Nope. I don't know about the timeline. Nor do I know about choreography. I know I don't like the crap being fed to you by the fake news. I do think that the authorities are doing a good job of not looking like idiots in this case. (I stress IN THIS CASE) They're doing so by limiting the information they release until they can gather the facts and investigate what happened. You see, one of two things can happen, and they both lead to conspiracy theory.
Example:
1. Authorities rush to get information out to the clamoring masses and they are wrong about what they report. Cries of "CONSPIRACY!" ensue.

2. Authorities investigate appropriately, gather facts, interviews, analyze crime scenes, etc.. and information is slow to come out. Cries of "CONSPIRACY!" ensue.

Either way you get what you want. As far as shots from ten casinos is concerned, i'll explain. Calls into the dispatch center explode. Hundreds if not thousands. They go as follows;

CALL #1
DISPATCHER: "911, what is your emergency?"
Concerned Citizen #1: "Theres a shooter blasting people!"
DISPATCHER: "Where are you ma'am"
Concerned Citizen #1: "I'm at mandalay bay"
DISPATCHER: "Help is on the way."

CALL #2
DISPATCHER: "911, what is your emergency?"
Concerned Citizen #2: "Theres a shooter blasting people!"
DISPATCHER: "Where are you sir"
Concerned Citizen #2: "I'm at the Luxor"
DISPATCHER: "Help is on the way."

I know I'm bought and paid for by the man, but I'll give an example of a shooting scene I worked a few months back.

A disgruntled millennial trust fund gentleman decided he'd break into dads gun cabinet while consuming mass quantities of alcohol and his normal dosage of anti psychotics.

He had an AR and about 500 rounds of ammo. He decided to walk into his back yard, and shoot up the back of his house. I work in a densely populated suburb of St. Louis. 7k people crammed into 1.5 square miles. No high rise buildings, all residential.

We received calls immediately from the neighbors, then while in route, started receiving calls from literally three blocks away of an active shooter. The elementary school is two blocks over to the west. We received three calls from teachers behind the school on recess of shots being fired directly behind the school, which would be even further away from where the actual gun fire was coming from. They had a three story brick building in between them and where the gunfire was actually coming from and they heard it coming from the wrong direction.

We thought we had multiple active shooters throughout the town, but turns out it was one drink idiot, mad at his parents who decided to shoot up the back of his house.

Perception is reality to all of us at first. Your ears and eyes do in fact play tricks on you and if I've learned anything in 12 years of being a police officer, over 50 percent of the time, the caller into the 911 dispatchers are completely wrong or hear or see something completely different than it actually happened.

Unlawful use of a weapon, property damage, and discharging a weapon within city limits. He was the only one home.

Don't know, wasn't there, and won't speculate. My little story was just to say things don't always happen how people report them related to 911 calls. I can't and won't speculate on what Thorpe saw or heard.

All the posts I made concerning what he heard or may have heard may have come off as me "questioning it" and that is true.......but I never thought he "made it up" or was a millenial snowflake who was ignorant to the sounds of gunshots. Especially since so many heard it at so many different resorts...all at the same time.

To me it was always whether one believes law enforcement or not. So knowing folks at metro for many years and how they found negative shots fired at the various locations and their current methodical ivestigation into this shooting..........the question is do I believe them or not....and I do.
