99 Silverado 2500 Ext Cab 3 door 4X4 6.0 New body style, not the "Classic" style
Need to remove the cab mount bolts to replace rusty BRAKE LINES. Seems like the nut or bolt head is turning inside the frame/cab
The very front one by the radiator is no problem for access, however with the one under the drivers compartment the nut seems to be turning inside the channel under the cab.
I'm going out right now to try turning the bolt some more to be sure that this is the case. I have yet to try the mid cab and rear cab bolts.
Have any of you mechanics dealt with this problem before? What was your solution? I'm not afraid to cut some holes in the cab floor if neccesary, but it would be nice if there was a fairly accurate way to measure out the location for the hole inside the cab.
Yes, I've used Google and found some info, but it's all for newer trucks.
I will update the OP shortly.
Thanks Guys!
