    New guy from Northern MI

I figured it was time to post up instead of just lurking around.
I started riding trikes at 2 years old, when my father brought home a brand new 83' atc 70(which i still have). From there, I moved up to my dad's 84' bigred. Since then i've owned an 85' 200x, 85' 350x and an 86' atc250r and sold all of them......stupid!

So a couple years after I sold all but the 70, I got the bug again. Despite all of these Honda's in my past, I'm really a Yamaha guy. I ended up buying a nice rider 85.5 tri-z (project Maximum Effort!) And it has since turned into a never-ending money pit.
I ended up buying another 86' atc250r last march to replace the one I sold. My new R is much nicer than my last one. That was my main ride last year, hoping to get the Z done for this summer. I mostly just ride state trails in Antrim/Kalkaska counties.

Looking forward to helping out where I can, and maybe making some new riding friends.
Thanks, Bob Click image for larger version.

I'll forgive you for the Yammer but it's so cool you have you're first trike.
Mine was an '84 200x but I was 27 when I got into it.

That's just awesome that you still have the 70 that came home from the showroom. I'm sure that's a rare story. But I must say I'm sorry to hear you're a Yamaha guy now

Hello bobtdms, I joined the site recently and was pleasantly surprised to find so many MI riders on here. I live in Oakland County but venture up to Gladwin, St. Helen, and Leota trails throughout the summer (every weekend I can). I hope to ride more of the trails come spring. Nice machines!

Unless there is one already... we ought to get a Michigan Trikefest going.

Thankyou all for the warm welcome. Not getting much Yamaha love though, Lol! I do agree it would be cool to have some sort of trike event in Michigan, but trikefest is still a pretty short drive for us.

There's a metric @#$& ton of Yamaha fans here. There just isn't as many of them around as Honda so there's less postings as a result. Quite a few absolutely mind-blowing Tri-Zs have been built by members here over the years and they gave a sweet one away at Trikefest one year if I recall.

Lots of love for utility trikes too.

Post pics or questions, post your progress, whatever you want about Yamaha stuff. We need the diversity and traffic. Sport Yammys, Ute Yammys, 450 yammy conversions, we like them all. I like Honda's but I get bored easily after seeing thousands of them in my lifetime.
