Have been looking to purchase a clean original Honda atc350x for quite awhile to add to my collection. The few that pop up are all beat and clapped out. Where are the good ones hiding??

It's that Karley in Virginia that just joined. She seems to be scooping them up at a rate of one a month or so

No matter condition, they don't ever last long, here.
Mine is in my shed in a 1000 pieces right now. Long way to go to look anything like thornton's.
There are more WTB ads for 350X, 250R, Tecates, etc than there is for sale around here. Every now and then they pop up and expect it to be $1k to $4k depending on the condition. Even the $1k ones are going to need another several hundred put into them just to ride it.
Here is one now for $2k;

All the "deals" I've ever come across were by word of mouth rather than internet. Get the word out you are into old 3 wheelers and someone might remember you when the time is right.
Thanks guys
Closest 350x to me right now is a 9 hour drive - one way - at a Honda dealership - on display (showroom). $8,000 firm. Looked at some pics - from what I can tell - average condition. I am looking for a mint OEM original for my collection. Condition/originality has to warrant the price.

thank you. i have quite a few people that stop and ask if there for sale when i have them outside especially all of them. i even had people ask if they could take pictures and if i was a dealer lol. my honda's r my babies i have a hard time letting them go!!
NE Ohio here. The 350x's seem to pop up much more often than the 250r's. I have seen a couple in the Toledo area that I would have certainly drove 3 hours for if I didn't already have one that I am content with. Seems to be around $2,000 for a solid runner is what people are asking.
I have quite a few X's in my trike collection. More than I want really, these are good complete running bikes that have escaped the doom of squids wrenching on them, but I don't want to sell them as I have sold certain bikes off in the past and was instantly SHOCKED and disgusted how beat to pulp they became seeing it relisted on craigslist. A couple I found being parted out on ebay. For that I always regretted selling. Now I just keep them like I have Orphanage or something, have to go through an interview selection process with the new owner if I'm going to see it gone. Ha

4K might be more like it-but since it's not mine, that doesn't matter.

Hello Jd110.
No luck yet - still looking for a clean OEM example. Found a few overpriced, clapped out, aftermarket pieced together 350Xs' - passed on them.
That craiglist 350x is beautiful. $8000 US is almost $10,000 Canadian - ouch. How do I explain that to the wife - LOL.
The search continues...
Keep looking! I know they aren't common in Canada though. You might have to travel to the states for one. Mine came from a guy a mile down the road. Once in awhile if stop by and bs with him. Fellow gearhead working on his trucks. I happened to see "350x" sticking out of a pile of stuff. He said he's had it since he was a teenager.. probably in his 50s now. Bugged him to sell it to me, he was thinking about it. Next time I stopped, he asked how much I'd pay. I said $1000. He went from wishy washy to he should probably just sell it. Picked it up about a month later.
Can you place a wanted ad in the neighboring states on craigslist? I picked up a trx250r that way. Guy owned it since it was 6 months old.
