    EDC knife sharpening

    Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone has an opinion as to the best knife sharpening process.. I have a collection of folder knifes that I carry, my EDC being a spyderco and a Kershaw.. I can get my blade sharp but am looking for that next level of sharpening.. any thoughts? I saw a video of a paper wheel attached to a grinder that looked like it took the blade to a whole new level.

Probably not to the level of what you're looking for, but I got a "Work Sharp" sharpener as a gift. I love the thing. I use it on everything and it works awesome.

I use a Spyderco Tri-Angle system I got 35 years ago which works very well for folding and fixed blades. It even works when theres a large gap, serated edge that is common on some of the survival type knives; just have to draw the blade slower. If a knife can cut the neck hide on a moose, it's sharp enough.

    Hey coolpool,
How does that golf cart run? Were you just sitting around the shop one day and decided to try that?

I can vouch for the work sharp. Makes my case knife sharp enough to cut cellophane pallet wrap and does it in about 10 seconds!

Strop your knives on a piece of cardboard. I use the bottom of a coffee cup to sharpen up the edge and strop on cardboard, you can shave with the blade when done
