When I was in my 20's it was all about the x's. Now that I'm almost 3 times that and bought the Big Red
the practicality of these machines is rearing its wise head. Plus the grandkids will soon be big enough to ride the 185.

I'm missing some parts, but I'm getting closer.



As far as I can tell the yellow feeds oil to the cam and rockers. I will make sure these passages are clear.
This is the old sidecase and as you can see the black goop and JB-Weld is a joke. My cam and rockers will verify that.
What does the red hole feed?



I'm thinking that if I pull this bolt I should be able to verify sufficient oil to the rockers once it's running.

Well, it's a rider at last. After almost a year, tons of help from you guys (special shout out to shep!!!) and a ton of money I can finally enjoy it.
I'm not done yet, just cosmetics, but I can now get going on another project.

Tank, headlight bezel, seat and weather checked front fender will be addressed. But all for naught if it doesn't run. Maybe some OEM rear tires and such.
Still a "running" project. I'm going to name it "Boullion" or "gold brick". But it's a labor of love and nothing else.
I like six gears, though.

Looks good. New seat cover and a freshly painted tank and new decals will really make it shine. Looks like you have OE fenders...that's a plus. I kinda of like the gold rims on it. BTW, you rear decals are on backwards...lol.

Thanks, I just found the rear fenders about a month ago. I've got a seat cover and decals in the works.
Not sure if I'll do the tank myself or have a pro do it.
