    Yamaha ytm200 recoil re-assembly

    Hello All,

I am in the process of rebuilding the recoil start on my tri moto 200. I am missing a couple of "W" springs or whatever they might be called. The parts I am missing are labeled as 13-1 (not 13) in the following schematic and fit inside the decompression gear. Does anyone know what they are called or where to get them? I have tried searching for something similar but to no avail. I have checked a couple local hardware stores but haven't found anything. It would help my searching if I actually knew what they were called.

    Thanks

I know exactly what that part is. Do you know if it's definitely discontinued? They show it on the diagram but it's not listed in the parts list for some reason.

    These?

I just bought one (needed only one but thought I was getting two). Make sure you buy TWO as the photo is of two, but you only get one. Shows he has two left.

I believe the technical term for these is "doohickythingamajigger springs"

    Thanks guys!

I thought it was strange that they were shown in partzilla but no part number to go with them. They are also mentioned in my "oscarmeyer" manual but no number or anything. The decompression hasn't worked very well on my yamaha since I got about a year ago, it but has always started right up. Well a couple weeks ago I tried to start it when it was really cold and the main return spring broke. Tore it apart and it was packed with dirt/gunk/rust you name it. Those springs must have disintegrated in all those years of goo because they weren't in there.

This is turning into an "expensive" pull starter rebuild... here is what it looked like after i pulled the drum and cleaned it up a little. The lever that connects the gear to the cable lever was laying in the bottom of the case.

Hello again - I finally got the dampeners and as I was trying to reassemble it today, I realized I am missing another spring. This time in the "decompression lever set" #14 in the diagram. I have found a few of the whole sets on ebay but don't want to spend 35+ for just a little spring. Does anyone know what it might be called to be able to do a better search? Or does anyone have an extra they would be willing to sell? Is it even needed? Is there a feasible work around?
    Thanks

Thanks! - it isn't listed on the 83 or 84 schematic so I missed it.
