    Yt175 problem

    Hey guys
I have had a yt175 for about a year now, when I brought it, it didn’t run so good! Was very very hard to pull start! So I needed up cleaning the carb, the tank, the petcock, changed reeds and plug! Then it was easy to start and ran good! But lately if it’s been sitting for a few week, it takes quite a few pulls to start it, it has to have full choke on! It will run then stop! But once it starts on full choke I can’t give it throttle or it will cut out! After it’s been running for 3 to 4 mins i would put the choke down and then it will be fine! Once this stage is done it runs and pulls really good with lots of power!

Is this normal? I remember last year I would just pull it with the choke up and after like 30 seconds I would put choke down and away I would go.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks Ivan

My suggestion is to pull the carb off and give it a proper clean out. Sounds like a blocked gallery or similar.

    Good luck!
