Tri z top mount tank gravity feed

So after putting it on the stock carb doesn't seem to like the gravity feed. It keeps cutting out on top end. I dropped a few jets didn't fix it. Any ideas

That makes no sense. Is your gravity tank fuel line going straight from the new tank into the carb unrestricted?

The reason I ask is that since the Z had a fuel pump, I assume it also had a built-in pressure regulator somewhere in the fuel delivery system and if you try to run a gravity feed thru a pressure regulator, the regulator would just cut off the flow since it's not under constant pressure.

    That's all I got.

I had a little filter on there I took it off it helped a little bit. Unless the shut off valve I put on isn't letting enough through.

That's possible but even at a trickle, if the trike sat long enough to fill the fuel bowl, it should start up and run until the bowl emptied.

Your cap looks vented too so that's not it unless the vent is plugged

It runs fine just feels like no fuel on top end. I'm really betting it's the shut off valve it's for a lawn mower. I checked the cap and it's clear. Got a bunch of fumes in my lungs but it's clear.

Well runs awesome now! Was the stupid shut off valve. Where can I get a high flowing valve from?

    This type

Metal with red plastic handle. I too had a lawn mower type shut off on my Tecate,,, mainly to test tank out.
Sevral different types on ebay using the search wording
" atv fuel shut off valve"
Not sure if you need angle, straight line,,, barb both ends (probably)
