    1986 honda atc 125m

    Does any one know the thread on the front axle this model has a lock not and the axle threads are slightly stripped.need to know what tap and die size I would need.thank you

    Looks like it's 14mm but I can't tell if it's metric course or fine in order to tell you the pitch. It's probably M14x1.5 but I can't be sure without actually measuring it.

    The axle nut appears to still be available OEM Honda at least through Babbitt's Online....it's cheaper to buy the new nut to save the expense of a tap and then you can take the nut to the hardware store like Ace and the can get you the correct die for the axle (which is no longer available)

    Pretty sure it's 14mm x 1.25 thread pitch. I had to order a die for my bigred axle that size.
