86 Yamaha 225drs Special Edition worth

This past winter ,I picked up a Black and Red 86 Yamaha 225drs to fix up. Fast forward to now and a fresh top end,and numerous other new parts I have a perfect running 225 . I've been a Honda guy my whole life and follow the Honda ATC market(which has recently went nuts)Click image for larger version.

I have no idea on worth.

Yamaha 225s are underrated, in my opinion. Yours looks good.

Yeah the honda market has gone nuts for sure

Very nice 225dr! I love mine, they ride so smooth compared to the Big Red I find. As for value, I'd say around $1,500 for a clean good condition one with everything working. You just need to accessorize it with racks, headlight guard etc. now

Thank you for the responses. Would love to find one of those reproduction headlight guards the one guy was making a few years back.I heard he's not doing it any more.

They pop up on feeBay from time to time, usually for around $100.

I recently acquired a 1984 Yamaha ytm 225dx, and I'm really happy with it. It needed some top end work which I took care of. Now that it's running I noticed the clutch needs to be replaced. Any special tools involved in replacing it?
