I didn't think of that until you said it. Horrible acting but a must watch for gearheads.

It's relevant to this thread because that car also used a 454. That, and the flat black paint.

Defiantly a car enthusiast movie, but anything remotely similar made nowadays, would be played in a small independent theater and considered a work of art.

I have always wanted a 53/54 chevy, I found this one (53) a lot like yours.

Lol. I didn’t know that was a movie. I thought you were thinking of a car name like they put on their doors or quarter panels. I’ll have to check out the movie now.

Funny story. I just ran across your build thread on the HAMB. Nice job there. Tell me more about the 64 galaxie 500. I love the white. Dad had a white one when we were kids. I think it had a 289 in it??

Yeah that's me over on the H.A.M.B
The Galaxy was a friends re-build for a customer, the Original owner raced it back in the day, won several championships with it.
He had since passed and the car was put in storage, the owners daughter wanted to fix it up and drive it one time before she sold it.
so she brought it to my friends shop where he went through it bumper to bumper over about 6 months. I went by a couple times and spent a few days with him
plumbing new fuel lines and repairing some wiring, the car was not re painted, that how good it really looked.
For a factory built race car, it was amazing, the sound alone would make giddy.

I don't know much more about it, last I heard she hadn't sold the car yet, and she still had it. she cant drive it, it is a beast.
That's been some years ago. I have kept up with that car ( I'm a GM guy ) .
You can google the drivers name, its on the door, his stats are still out there.
