'85 200S Idles then dies
Put a stock carburetor back on the trike and it fires up good and will idle but then the idle will start slow down and the engine will kinda pop and make a "sucking air" kind of sound and die. Timing was good at the rpm of about 1500, I haven't played with the pilot screw at all. I feel like I've lost some RPM's at the top end as well.
Any suggestions as what to check next? I keep thinking I just can't find a good carburetor to put on it and get it adjusted good.........bought a $25 Chinese one on Ebay and it was running great until a couple weeks ago....
New spark plug (properly gapped), timing is good, gap at pulse generator is good, fresh fuel, new petcock. I'm using really small black fuel tubing (same that goes from the drain on the carb) - could that be the issue?
