Polaris Scrambler. It is not as common as the other big 3 manufactures. Memeber Howdy has one and could possibly give some information on it.

    Polaris ATC250R. lol
Cool part of ATV history but really a POS. I remember when they were first released. I was working for a dealer who sold Polaris ATV's.

I love mine. Feels very planted to the ground with the big running boards. Excels in the snow - feels very natural. Actually feels like like an old sled. If you are looking to get one, this is a gem. You won't get too many opportunities for one in this shape. I have seen somewhere between 10-20 of these in real life and unless the pictures are deceiving, this is one of the nicer ones.

It's badged 250R/ES - we affectionately call it a P3. I think that is funny because it really is like a 250R 2-stroke and 250ES size and racks. On the drag strip it will leave a 250SX as if it were standing still. Not quite as fast as a 350X. Suddenly wondering how one would fare against a 200X at 300 feet. I'll find out next June and report back.

Unfortunately the scrambler Arrived onto the three wheeler scene just as quads were taking over, it was just a victim of timing.

The Polaris quad and the trike came to market around the same time, and shared many components. Such as engine, driveline, and rear end, but the trike was completely overshadowed by its four wheel bother, which rocked the atv world at the time.

The two stroke Polaris quad redefined the category by offering power, and suspension normally only found on race type machines of the day, thus it created a sports utility type category, which is the grandfather of many of the high powered 4wd quads that dominated the market for many years.

Unfortunately the scrambler got left behind in its dust. Testers of the day said the three wheeler was more difficult to slide than other machines due to its CVT, relativity high centre of gravity, and soft front suspension. If it had had a little more development, and had come to market a littler earlier, I suspect it would have sold many more than it did. But that's history.

It Would make an excellent addition to anyone's three wheeler collection.

That one in the add is in very good condition. I always wondered if an 85 tecate front end would have worked much better on that machine, than the "ytm225" factory front end they put on the machine.

I would love to have one of those machines in the shed.

I would say they are definitely rare. As stated they didnt come out until just about the end of three wheelers and the quads taking over.
This one definitely appears to be well taken care of and definitly worth the asking price.

Never seen one of those in person, or even listed for sale locally.
