I won’t for one second argue that it is inappropriate that any person be forced into having sex in order to obtain a career goal. However, if previously obtained awards for accomplishments not related to the abuse of any person or persons is to be stripped of an accused abuser even before they are given a day in court should the people who were 18 years or older and benefited from allowing themselves to be victims not also give up the awards and financial windfalls gained by their actions?

The example I would use is an actress who of her own free will went to a director’s hotel room alone late at night and performed a sexual act which procured a role for which she was later awarded monetarily and perhaps even additionally by means of an acting award.

This example strikes me as an act of prostitution and I don’t see why the person in this example is now running around claiming they are a victim living in a multimillion dollar home when somewhere out there is a waitress that might have been a far better actress had she not refused the late night audition.

Oh man Nico I have a Big issue with this me too movement and will need to compose my thoughts before commenting to much.
But I agree and don't see how so many have taken down so many by saying "me too"
I used to give basic sexual harassment training at my last job. We were always taught to teach that the victim has to first tell the possible accuser that they don't like the way the accused has said or done something.. I can't see how, twenty freaking years later how someone can say " he said or did this" bull hockey. Give me a chance to right my wrong at the time of my mistake..

I hate sex abusers..... But I don't think you can come forward twenty years later and expect a full and proper witch hunt like it happened yesterday. Either report it when it happened or don't but I think you are allowing the predators to walk free and victimize other women because you won't speak up for decades.

The thing that bothers me the most, is that the Hollywood women weren't threatened with physical violence like so many rape victims but their careers or possible future careers were threatened... and I'm sorry but a career is a poor reason to let a sexual predator go unexposed and free to victimize others.

Me 2 is about more than just rape. It's about sexual harassment and / or abuse. But who defines what harassment or abuse is? This is where the entire problem with me 2 starts, and should end - too bad we are far past that point now. I must add, I am not saying actual harassment / rape / abuse does not happen, and it should never happen - PERIOD! I agree - Hollyweird actresses have advanced their careers by sleeping with directors - it happens - probably A LOT! It is not against ones free will to sleep with someone for in return something else - it is prostitution - but legal prostitution because no money is exchanged. This happens not only in Hollyweird, but everywhere in business and politics I assure you. It has become ridiculous and some of these accusers are milking it hard and playing victim for a buck - and it is shameful and disgusting. Thrust me - it will bite them in the rear one day when the society changes so much most women will have to settle for a dozen cats, as no men will want accusations, so the cat and mouse games that have happened since the beginning of time will cease.
