Ohtsu sp Wamulass 22x11x8 tire vs. Duro HF247 tire

I have a 77 Honda ATC90 that i purchased a couple months ago that had been sitting in storage for a long long time. long story short i did cleaned the tank, rebuilt the carb ect. and got it running. The bike still has the original Ohtsu tires that still have near perfect tread but the front was cracked up and dry rotted so i bought a Duro HF240 tire 22x11x8 for the front, got it mounted and installed. I guess they don't make 22x11x8 tires like they use to because the Duro is a smaller tire? Does anyone have any suggestions on a tire that matches the same size as the originals or am i just screwed?

the closest tire to stock is the cheng shin knobbie tires https://www.amazon.com/Cheng-Shin-C8...g+shin+22-11-8. I have the cheng shins on my 200m and they ride great. We also have kenda scorpians on our 78 90 and we are veary happy with those as well.

i read on here that the Duro HF240 was the closest thing to stock, i don't really care to much about matching tread pattern as i am with the correct height and width that matches the originals to give it the same "look" i should have

Something else to consider is that those old tires you have on and are trying to match could have been over inflated thus stretching them. Are they tubed? because if they are they are definetley stretched.

good point!!! as the original rear tires that are on it now rub the rear fender. When i removed the front tire from the rim halves the center of the tube was melted onto the inside center of the tire.which would indicate that they all were over-inflated for a long time. i would assume the rears are the same. yes they are tubed. That is more than likely the issue, the size difference between the two (Duro, originals) are way off as far as size. Didn't know if the Duro HF240 were smaller than the originals (not over-inflated)
