The extra length works out well, you can use all the throttle you want without the front end lifting out of control. I've completely stopped any work or improvement to all my old trikes because it just feels like a waste of time now.
Anything you can share will be appreciated including the rake and triple tree offset as well as the wheelbase and width.

I am going to do everything possible to keep my KTM build as low as I can starting with a 22" front wheel, dropping the clamps as much as possible, shortening the forks by at least 1" if not 2" and if need be lowering the rear to add a little rake. I am expecting to be no more than 1" taller than my Tri-Z sits now with a 24" tire.

My concern, if I add rake to lower the trike, is that combined with a wide rear stance the turning will be slow and there may be a tendency for the front to push more than a "normal" trike does.

I've never had the opportunity to drive a conversion trike, but all the ones I saw at the dunes were pretty tall and no one seemed to be struggling with the handing.
    It sucks to get old

The problem with shortening the forks, or doing much of anything to lower the height of the trike , is that you also have to be aware of the ground clearance under the engine. If you were using a custom frame or maybe quad frame conversion it may not be a problem. If you use the bike frame like I did, you kinda stuck with the stock length forks or your going to case it every time your suspension compresses. I think the extra height would be a problem for you guys that do flat track and maybe the MX style race courses, but for the dunes and the open desert type of riding I do it turned out to be a non-issue.

I usually end up with about 26 degrees of rake.

Seems to turn well and not "push"...

Those BVC kits look legit !.
That conversion kit for under 3 grand ain't a bad price. I did my 450 trike pretty cheap only because I've been a machinist most of my life and have my own welder. For those of you that aren't in that position, 3 grand for that kind
quality is a pretty good deal - in my opinion.

I have a few more pics, but they look kinda the same. It still needs to be torn down to do paint/powder coat. If you look at it closely you will notice the frame is still Yamaha blue and it might end up with an aftermarket gas tank. My plan was to do the tear down and paint this summer but I took on a boat restoration project that has consumed all my time. So the plan is to put another riding season on it the way it is. I thought after riding it for a full season last year that there would be some changes needed, but it turned out it really doesn't need anything major. The only thing I have planned is to soften the front suspension a little. One thing I did add to it was a trail tec "dash board" that has GPS, engine hours, rpm, water temp and a few other things.
