    Engine swap: Kick starter conundrum.

Has anyone successfully used a dirt bike engine on a trike? I know SOMEONE has.
Motor mounts are an obstacle but plasma arc, grinder, welder and drill press solve that.
How do you deal with the kickstarter going the wrong way?

I have ideas rolling around in that empty place I keep my hat on.

dozens of people have turned dirt bikes into trikes or put dirt bike motors in trike frames.

As for the kicker, some folks hinge the fenders at the back mount so you can tilt them up to kick backwards or just pull the fenders off until you get it started.

Last bike motor I put in was a kx100 in a 200x. I had no issues kicking bsckwards. Just had to kick it off bike. I'm doing blaster in 250R now. Kitts times a short kicker with decompression is all you need.

I put a blaster motor in my 81 250r frame and I cut a square into the fender and backed it with a truck mud flap so my heel could pass through. here is a picture of the cut before I installed the mud flap on the back side
