    This is ugly, we bought this years ago from a guy that said he raced it back in the day. Runs like a raped ape and we have no idea what is in it. So we are finally going to get around to seeing what this gal has inside her. The plan is to put it back together on the frame below, no bells and whistles just swap parts and maybe a little something here and there. We are partial to the rat rod look.

    Still confused why this thing ran so good and was so responsive. Would clutch racing springs make any difference, obviously not in hp but performance of responsiveness?
    We have two others with more than likely the same stroke and bore. We have yet to duplicate the same performance. Difference in carbs is that the other two have mikuni on them and this has a jetted stick 110 carb. The other two have modified heads this one didn't even have that.
    Could it be we are overthinking this? By all the modification giving us more top end but loosing power at the lower rpm range? Is that something that you sacrifice with a modified head?

    Just sounds like it was tuned just right and your other two still need some help .

    I suppose that could be it. Dont get me wrong they run Great. I suppose they each have e their own personality.

    I think its a well built frame looks similar to a Nicholson not so much like a bandito I found one a few years ago. I have seen this frame in 3wheeling magazine.

    Desicon time, we have a 63 stroker crank and a long rod crank with a 4mm over piston ( both helm and son's) We are going to split the cases on old ugly here and see what stroker it has in it. We understand some of the benefits to a long rod Vs a short rod but if you have an opinion or preference we would like to hear it.
