Question Wiring help on 200 auto X

    Hey guys,
I have two junker 1984 200X's. One is a true X the other has a 200S motor in it. Neither is really a complete bike, both are missing something including the wiring harnesses. The X actually ran and ran well until the kicker gears boogered. So I did the auto X swap using the lower from the S. The S engine was swamped apparently at one time as the flywheel and housing were pretty rusty and corroded. I've cleaned everything up but I'm still not sure how its going to work/run with the condition the lower was in. My long winded question is, how do i bypass a harness? I know its possible and took pics of how it was wired but my previous phone broke and i lost all my pics. The attached pics are of what I have to work with now. I tried following a wiring diagram but as I am an idiot its like trying to read Greek. Please help as i would really like to see if my auto conversion is good and so that I can go riding this weekend! Thank you 3 wheel gurus and gods in advance!

When I did this, I used the complete wiring harness from the donor. Sure, there's issues like the lights don't plug in or the kill switch is the top of the throttle housing that was on my 1981. At least it's rideable! For electrical questions, give ps2fixer a PM. He really knows his stuff on these trikes. Of course please keep us updated on your progress here too. Just a few quick pics of my 83 AutoX.Click image for larger version.

Appreciate it. Unfortunately I've got 3 200X' and none have had harnesses. I know its possible to bypass the harness as my first 200x was running when I bought it, just lost my pics. I hate the wiring, everything else I'm reasonably comfortable with but just cant wrap my brain around the wiring. I'll reach out to ps2, thank you.

If you still have the donor 200S, you can use that wiring harness to run the AutoX.

No unfortunately the donor 200s lower is coming out of a X that was a complete engine swap. And it was wired up without any harness.
