Our rifle season here started Oct 20. Been spending some time in the woods but not as much as I would like for various reasons. My son and nephew are newly licensed hunters and are very excited to be out there with their own rifle now. Good luck everyone!

Our gun season opens the 15th, I can't wait to get out and sit in the woods! I've got a couple nice bucks on camera so far.

Had one walk by early yesterday morning, still pretty dark and along with all the brush, couldn't get a clear shot. Couldn't tell if it was a buck or doe.

I was going to shoot a buck the other day until it started calling like a turkey to indicate that it clearly identifies as a bird. No word yet if he's a cis-turkey or transchicken but just to be safe, I tried to shoot an eagle instead because of how much America sucks. Eagles are such Fascists anyway.

(Attention game wardens: no, I did not consider nor did I attempt to actually shoot an eagle, I'm just being dramatic)

When I saw this I thought I may see a new kitchen aide opener for deer hunters or a new knife for field dressing.

I think one of my neighbors has a transchicken. One of the hens always gets cocky with me. I do my best to ignore her so she doesn't think I'm egging her on.............

That's funny - I thought it would be a knife thread, too.

Good job for those that have connected so far. My son (Samjp22) is coming up this weekend for a few days of hunting. We have perfect conditions, 6" of powder snow, around 12F during the day and the rut seems a tad early. We'll see if it all plays out!

Mosh, go get that gagger buck!
