I bought a 83 185 frame with good forks.Can I swap the out ? Will those work on my 200es ? I sure hope they do ! I don't have both machines in front of me is the only reason Im asking . (at deer camp ) Thank you very much!

The 200es front suspension was a sh!77y design. The actual struts cannot be rebuilt and can't bought. The 185 front end you have should work no problem. If it's in the budget, go ahead and swap out the factory bearings for a cone bearing upgrade. SOOOOOOmuch easier to deal with. Pack the bearings with a quality grease and you're set. I hate the 200es front ends.
I have converted an ES front end to a rigid design and done away with the shocks altogether. It wasn't hard but it requires a mill and a lathe to do it. Check out my thread on my current build.
