Expensive Mistake - Unreadable VIN

Use part numbers to check for differences, also the part diagrams can help, but they are often fairly generic for several years. Only down side with part number is that they don't tell you what changed, just that there is a change. I normally check ebay listings to try to spot the difference.

Seems to me the 82 185S I had, was side mount exhaust. Not sure if I have that around yet or not or what kind of shape it's in.

I sent MRSOUND a pm and hopefully all will work out. Thanks for the replies everyone. The '83 and '81 ATC 200 look pretty different thought and not sure if they are compatible. The airbox looks different, and there's a crossbar on the '83 that may block the exhaust. Did '83 have a side exhaust or did it go through the middle like the '81?

83 frame will work fine for you.

Here is a pic of the rear of the frame. Fender supports, foot pegs, brake pedal, & skid plate have all been removed this evening. Let me know if it's a go before I go buy the cello wrap and take it for a shipping quote.
