Has anyone found a way to custom make carb to airbox rubber boots?

Has anyone found a way to make a custom carb to airbox rubber boot for '83 Honda 200E or '81 Honda 200? The ones on Ebay look old, rotten, and expensive. I would assume a 27mm hose of some sort could be made to work, but where would you find one? Home improvement store, auto part store. Hoping someone has already went through this and has the answers! I couldn't find a thread for these 2 trikes already created.

Great idea, it never crossed my mind to use metal. Maybe sheet metal thin enough to bend into a cylinder. I don't have a welder but will need to think of another way!

I made my own a few years back ,using the original OEM boot as a template. Used Gas fill hose and clamps. I haven't had any problems with it.
The hose is flexible enough that I use carburetors 28mm-36mm and it is a quick swap, though the 36mm can be a bear to slip in.
It worked well will plain steel, the one shown is stainless.
    Disclaimer: friend welded the stainless.

I think OP is talking about the other side, carb to air box interface.

Pretty sure they are just rubber, someone that knows how to mold plastics (pour molding) should be able to make one with an oem one to use as a template. Just would have to pick the right grade of mix to be gas safe and such, and also be flexible so installing the carb and such is easy.

Another option, depending on your riding conditions is to just pull the airbox completely out and run a clamp on air filter directly on the carb.
