whats wrong with exstending the swing arm
It's a matter of opinion, that's why I asked. Hill climbing, drag racing, high horsepower applications, that makes sense to me. Doing it to a stock or relatively mild 350X just takes away from the way it was made to handle.

Here's the only pic I have. Not my machine but a customer's of mine. He has the extended swing arm on a goki electric start atc350x. The 350x wheelies really easy, I could see why someone would want to extend the swing arm to move faster instead of looking at the sky.
If someone doesn't like wheelies, they're on the completely wrong machine in the completely wrong hobby. I spend more time on two wheels than all three, that's kind of the point of this hobby.

HRE makes them in various lengths. +2 seems to be the norm, the longer you go the odder then turn. I've seen him build some for bikes like +8 which is odd for a trike. I never even ran anything that long on hill climbing atvs. I'd think +2 is more then enough for anything offroad. I'd want a 300ex axle in it before an extended swinger. What kinda machine are you wanting to build?
