    Do the aftermarket plastic red tanks match the maire red plastics?

    Possibly, I feel that if they are different makers than the chances are they may vary a bit. However you could find a good metal tank and have it powder coated to a close match as well. I just powder coated a tank I bought off ebay dor my 200x in white, my maier plastic is red.

    I'd think they would be close. Maier's red is meant to match up to the Honda red, but it's not an exact match. For most people it's close enough though, or they replace all their plastics so it matches as best as possible. I have a 250es plastic tank, and it seems like a close match, but it's on a ugly as can be machine, so I didn't care enough to look how close it matched the broken off fenders, I just wanted to get rid of the hack job 200s tank on it lol.

    Ive used ims tanks, they were decently close. red will darken with time as anything will.
