Yea I was suspecting it was some off brand battery.

FYI, you can do a load test with a multi meter, the trick is to put the load on the battery, and monitor the voltage with the multi meter (like use the starter while watching the voltage). A "normal" load tester is just a space heater with a volt meter hooked up to it lol.

Not sure what the warranty is with that ebay battery, but since it's a failed unit, I would have expected the seller to cover the shipping. Getting it replaced for shipping is better than no battery though I guess. I suspect the warranty is 1 year or less anyway.

Also the junk battery has a little bit of value, not sure how easy it would be for you to cash in on it's value though. It's not much but like $3-4 value as scrap, maybe less. Normally they get taken to a scrap metal recycler.

Good luck with the new battery, hopefully it lasts longer than a year. Might be worth while to see if the seller is going to give you a fresh warranty on the new battery or not too and document it encase it fails again.
