    225DX needs new tires!

I just got a beat up 225DX. The previous owner had replaced the rear tires with some 22x11-8 generic knobby tires that are super round, small knobs, and just don't look good! The front stock Carlisle knobby is way bigger and more square like it should be. I am considering just buying 2 new bear claws 22x12-8 for the rear and then moving one of the new rears to the front that is trashed. Will these be to wide for my 8x8 factory Yamaha rims? Thanks in advance guys. Zach J.

nope, throw on an inch wheel spacer in the rear and go play. 6 ply tires weight alot however.

6 ply tires also ride rougher. Tires are a big part of the suspension on a 225DX.

I went with 22x11-8 Mudlites on this one and have been extremely happy with them. I did smoke the stock clutch with them but the motor has quite a bit more power than stock and the clutch was 33 years old.
