    axle/sprocket drive hub

Does anyone know any tricks for removing the drive hub that's pressed/splined on a 200S axle? I would like to get it off without ruining the part. I may need it on another project someday.

This rear end I am rebuilding today will be used in such a way as it won't need a drive sprocket so I would like to remove it.

If I can't get it off without messing up the axle threads, I will just cut it off.

....what a crappy time for my torch to run out of O2.

take it to a machine shop and give them a few bucks. They are pressed on tight from factory then rust in place.

x2 - I had one pressed off a 350X axle and, even then, the guy at the machine shop said it took a LOT of push before it popped.

I reinstalled it myself after having the axle zinc coated. I heated the hub to about 300 in the oven (afraid to melt the rubber). It still took a lot of and drift work to get it on.
