    You should also test it by riding along in 3rd gear at 1/2 throttle or slightly higher on level ground for a few seconds, then rapidly opening the throttle for around 3 to 5 seconds and see exactly what it does. Do this several times before you change jets so you have a good feel for what it is doing.

    Below is a general list of conditions to look for when doing this particular test.

    Engine has a noticeable hesitation upon initially opening the throttle quickly from 1/2 way to full open like it is running out of gas or air, but it does not pop or burble or surge = Lean on main jet, plus the needle may possibly be too low, but a low needle rarely causes a big hesitation so I would try a different main until the problem is minor.

    Engine has a noticeable miss/burble and possibly some popping upon initially opening the throttle quickly from 1/2 way to full open, and the problem becomes less as the rpm increases. = Main jet too big. Try 2 sizes smaller . If the problem does not decrease during this test and it does not rev much higher. it is likely that the main needs to be reduced by 3 sizes but I would try just 2 sizes first.

    I also only use oem jets, not replicas/aftermarket ones, because the aftermarket jets can meter/flow fuel at a slightly different rate than an orig can even though they are both stamped the same size and this can confuse the flock of of a person.

    Mac pipes is still in business. I sent them a pic of this pipe. They said they made them for the 90/110 and 185 in the day..

    Looks like a POSA made pipe to me , excellent quality and sound !

    Well stuck a 24mm mikuni on, seems to have solved the high rpm issue. Needs a little tweaking but definitely much better.
