It sucks to get old
For all you 'merican' RD/RZ 350 and Banshee engine fans, here's what the rest of the World had access to in 1985. Ironic that the one country that prohibited their entry back then is the place that most of them ended up 30 years later.
If anyone out there has one of these and would like to trade it for my left testis, please send me a PM.

Some others I found in the photo stack. Sorry they're all in frames.
1978 Suzuki GS750 punched out to 916cc. Most reliable 4 cylinder engine even built in my opinion.
1981 Yamaha XS1100 made into a 1260cc shaft drive death machine. Not my bike, but that's me on it making one of the scariest passes of my life. Had to wear the owners helmet because I wasn't licensed for under 9.99 at the time.
1985 Suzuki GS1150
197? Honda CBX 1000. Not mine, but if that engine doesn't make your heart skip a beat, you should get to the doctors ASAP

The belly of the beast. Ultra rare, 1980 YZ250 6 speed. It locked up on me last weekend during a race, so I am just doing a repair and throwing in some new bearings and seals. Second gear on the pinion/clutch shaft is starting to spal a little on the drive side and it is not available, so I am going to have it cryo treated then I will reverse it on the shaft so the damaged part will be on the decel side where it will get very little use, and should therefore last nearly forever. The left crank bearing journal is also worn around .001" and it was spinning inside the bearing a little sometime during its life, so I am going to put a few light center punch marks around it which will make it tight in the bearing again.
Builds? Done a few.
99 450s foreman...
Bored 2mm, web racing camshaft, wiesco 10.2 to 1 piston, highlifter outlaw centrifugal clutch kit with springs up the rpm's 400 rpms before engagment, ebc dirt racer change clutch with heavy duty springs, new centrifugal clutch shoes, new cam chain, tensioner, ported and polished head, new lower bearings throughout. Went from a 130 to a 155 main jet. Pretty much everything questionable was replaced. The HMF exhaust really makes use of the motor mods, and its tuned to run with the dual snorkels it has. Plenty of power to turn the 29.5 outlaws with the locker in the front differential pulling positive. Actually twisteda rear axle in half from the torque.
Did the same mods to a 350 rancher 2002 model, big improvement.
Built several 450 foremans from the crankcase up.maybe 4 or 5 mostly close to stock.
2001 250 rancher that the piston had turned sideways in the jug from being ran without oil.
Late 90's xr250, timing jumped and hit the intake valve making it a ping pong ball in the cylinder, chewed up the head, and punched a hole in the piston.
1985 xl600r all new top end, bored, new cam chain, valves, tensioners, etc. Wish I still had that bike, dual carb ran like a 4 barrel on a 350 chevy.
Most recently my 1985 200x. New clutch plates and discs, new kickstart assembly, all new bottom end gaskets and seals, new did cam chain, new valves, new 66mm wiesco 12.1 to 1 piston, polished and ported head, web cam 214 camshaft with springs, etc, etc. Let me if I can find some pics.

Newest motor out the door to its loving new home. You may see this one at the track at the Ashtabula 50th anniversary this year. over 2.5 years in the making, lots of love between myself and Selvy on this one.
