1985 Big Red Running Rough

My 1985 Big Red was leaking fuel out of the carb bowl I bought a kit and put everything in since I was in there I fixed the leak but now its running rough at acceleration and when coming off a hill. It acts like its flooding out, I have tried adjusting the jet from all the way in 2 turns out like it says and places in between and there's no change. Is it something with a jet inside the carb. The kit the dealer sold me was a Moose kit not OEM Honda.

First off, let me say that I have no experience with the Moose brand kits. Sometimes the jets that come in the rebuild kits are the wrong size even if they are stamped with the right number. That's why I never use those jets. If I can't clean the ones that are in my carb good enough, I'll either buy some from a dealership or from jetsrus.com. The adjustment you tried is for the idle mixture. It doesn't do much when the engine's above an idle. If you installed the included jets, then yes, you could have a jetting issue.

I would check your floats and seat and needle for sure.
