We have a hi/low delete on our latest build. The clip that holds the front sprocket on is just that a clip. I have noticed after looking at a j farrow motor is that his has a plate that holds that gear on.
My question is did different manufacturers make different hi/low deletes and if so did they run the clip opposed to the plate? Does one system work better than the other? The gears that came with our kit have bolt holes in them making me believe we should have a bolt on plate. Anybody?

I believe the early kits were just OEM 1969/70 sl90 parts and that’s how I’ve always done them , I’m not sure if the big Al’s kits output shaft is an OEM part of just made by big Al’s .
If you want the bolt on front sprocket just use the sl90 setup .
