    New from Michigan

New here and new to three wheelers. Wanted one since the 80's machines came out and finally took the plunge. Started out a year or two ago rebuilding three Trail 70's and decided to try my hand at an 83 200X. I like it so much I picked up an 85 350X in about the same condition. Both machines were ridable as is, but needed basic maintenance to be very nice stock machines

I've wanted one of these things since high school. I'm kind of into fixing the vintage stuff at this stage in my life. I've gone through three trail 70's and they are pretty nice machines. I've split the cases on all three, rebuilt the tranny's, cranks, jugs, heads, so that doesn't scare me. So far neither the 200X or the 350X need the cases split. Both the 200X and the 350X got clutch's with the 200X getting a basket and some shifter parts just to tighten up that mechanism. The basket on the 350X was fine as were the plates, but once your that far you may as well replace it. Other than that its regular stuff, plugs, valve adjustments, carb rebuilds, chain/sprockets, all swingarm bearings, complete brake jobs and master cylinders. im sure you get the picture.

Hey, another person from Michigan, welcome to the site, good luck with your two machines. I really liked the 350x too, it's my favorite machine, the ATC250SX is really nice too with being basiclly a sportutility model. To me it feels about as fast as a 200x, but shaft drive and a bit heavier/stiffer ride.
