    blaster rear hubs and wheels??

just aquired a 84 225dxl from my cousin for 200 dollars, the motor work and mechanical side of things im pretty good at figuring out, cleaned the carb and it fired right up, so i read in a previous post and can't seem to locate it now. heard of running rear wheels and hubs off a blaster on an 84 225dxl, curious if anyone had any information on this and speciafically what years would fit it, looking to go away from the 3 stud setup on the bike, do in part to one of the wheels being rusted any info you guys could throw me would be greatly appreciated.

I believe this is what you are looking for

I have been looking into this as well, someone 'converted' the 3 bolt hubs on mine to 4 bolt hubs, and ultimately ruined them. but finding hubs that will fit with a 4x110 pattern (because of the rims i have) is difficult without some test subjects

Based on the post linked below, all the sport machines have the same hub splines.

I have a pair of 85 Tri-Z hubs that are the 4 bolt pattern. I think it's probably 4x100 though, Honda is known for the 4x110 pattern. Anyway, I'd probably be looking to get $40 shipped in the usa for them.

For fun I tested the hubs on a Honda axle... to my surprise they slipped right on. The 85 Tri-Z hubs fit on an 84 TRX200 and 84 ATC200ES rear axle, it did not fit the 85 ATC250SX though (larger than the Yamaha one). I figured they would have different spline counts. It would take an extra washer to actually tighten the hub on the axle, but minor stuff to deal with. Anyway, I attached photos so you can see what I have.

Bolt pattern measures 4x100mm, spine size is 25mm, hub thickness (where it interfaces with the splines on the axle), is 43mm. Offset appears to be about 8mm in from the surface the axle nut goes against (eye ball measured).

I appreciate the offer ps2, but I actually just found a set on ebay for 35, just got to me today, now in the market for some wheels, maybe needing tires too, my cousin decided to fill one with slime to see if that would help the busted wheel.

No problem, I would have price matched the $35 lol. When I looked up the listings $40 was the cheapest I saw.

Slime doesn't really help anything, just makes a big mess inside lol. What tool are you using to bust them down? Driving over it with a truck (larger tire size makes it easier) works ok, but the proper tool works a ton better. If you're trying to break down trail pros, they are a very stiff tire to deal with, good for wear, bad for just about everything else lol.

i work for a Harley Davidson dealer here in town, so i brought em into one of my techs to let him mess with them. they arent the tires I want to run but they are fairly new, id like to go with a 20inch, but as for now i just want to get the wheels and these tires on. get it mobile and then go from there, been searching for some plastics for the rear but having a helluva time trying to find them as well. I just found 2 wheels 80 for both 8x8s, so after that i just have to reinstall the carb and get her fired up.
