For Wiseco pistons you bore and hone the cylinder to the specific size on the package and the piston cylinder fix will be correct. For example if your new piston is 66.25mm that is the required bore size, not the size of the piston. The piston is a bit smaller such that the fit is correct. Please use a sunnen rigid type hone not one of those 3 arm cheap hones. The performance comes from the roundness and cylindricity of the bore. For performance a Web cam is a good choice, with either the 10.25 or 12:1 piston. At that point you will become limited by airflow through the head so porting and/or larger valves become required. All depends on how far you want to go but yes a 10:25 will work good with a cam on premium pump gas.

Fortunately I have never had the "pleasure" of riding a creepy uncle's lap so I can't compare the two...and pleeeease don't share the details of that particular experiences with us.

Those engines made me think of this guy on Youtube....LOT of work went into this. There's another video somewhere where he tears it down and you can see inside.....

I'd say the same reason ...Why ride a 3 wheeler? Because that's what flips the man's trigger. I can appreciate the work involved..though I don't understand putting it on a wood stand and just looking at it. Engines are made to work.
