Yes the folks that want Marxism and radical environmentalism, have zero clue how truly UNCOMFORTABLE, boring, and fraught with needless suffering the final result will be.... And as a bonus, the police state needed to enforce this ideology will envelope their lives and stifle any faith or hope they may have left.

............ while visions of Champagne Socialism dance in their heads.

Seriously, none that I've read anywhere have honestly thought out just how backwards we would have to go in order to achieve what they want.

Bolshevik movements in 1890s had far less ramifications in all aspects of public life than they would now. We are now far more rooted in technological and economical development and the dependency that it requires. They were revolutionising what was still a burgeoning industrial economy. Industrial economies are largely driven by Materialism. The deeper your social group is rooted in Materialism, the harder and farther it will need to fall in order to even begin to pretend to sustain itself. That probably doesn't make sense but it's a thought.

It's equivalent to the time I saw an African American girl wearing a Von Dutch t-shirt and a few years later, a gay kid wearing a Che Guevara shirt. There's some deep irony or something, in so many facets of these two examples above, first being that they PAID for that clothing and the second irony being that the people whose likeness they paid for, hated their kind in real life

From 2015. There was also a threat of a "mini ice age" in the 70's. We spent a couple days on it in science class.

I was little but still remember hearing people talk about that but less than a decade later, they told us all that "acid rain" from coal plants was eroding all the statues and stone buildings in the US and the paint on our automobiles. Simultaneously the hole in the ozone layer was bombarding us with deadly solar radiation and then there was nukes

So it's ALWAYS been SOMETHING. Same fear porn, different time and topic

I remember they said the ozone hole was 'forever', 'getting bigger', and was caused by cans of aerosol hairspray and spraypaint....Last week I watched an interview/documentary where a contractor who built radar antenna arrays in the 60s, 70s, and 80s....... In Alaska mostly......... Said that while experimenting with weather modification with the HARP machine, they had accidently "ripped huge holes in the ionosphere" (part of our protective magnetic field for our planet) so this ozone hole may indeed be "man-made", just not in the sense that we are being told

I’m old enough to remember reading about that in the newspaper. The scientists were proposing that we all pitch in to help cover the poles with coal and soot to absorb the heat of the Sun and melt the caps before we all froze to death.

I’m convinced that the global warming phenomenon is only partially man made and that its being used to scare everyone on the planet into the loving arms of a one world government that promises a solution that doesn’t exist.

This latest movement of young kids vowing not to have kids until the government forces a solution it probably the best idea I’ve heard so far to eliminate the percentage of human contribution to the temperature of the planet, but it would mess up the consumer growth needs of the financial system, and let certain groups less concerned about how many kids they have gain political power at an even faster rate than they are now.

    Bottom line: Learn to swim.

Don't forget that the ones who are getting pregnant are being told to abort their offspring for as little reason as convenience's sake.

Edward Abbey, of Monkeywrench Gang fame, pointed this fact out in the early 70s maybe late 60s...... He noted that the US needed to stop illegal immigration for the sake of our overtaxed resources and the impact on the environment that would be sure to follow a massive migration of people. That's precisely when when one of the OG Gangsters of radical environmentalism in the US was disavowed literally overnight by his entire Left political base.

He pointed out the truth and was ostracized. The truth, like you said, is that it's all BS and the people pushing the agenda don't really want results, they want the political power that comes from the struggle for change. Once change happens, no more struggle and therefore no more political power.

Logic and reason have no place in the modern political landscape. It's all about keeping people reactive rather than proactive

Seems we’re all preaching to the choir here.

You mentioned people not have kids over the climate scare, but have you heard about the suicides related to it? I’m told there are young kids who have left messages saying that they were depressed about how their mere existence was harming the planet, so they killed themselves.

How brainwashed and weak minded does one need to be to take such a path when the people who are telling them that they’re harming the planet are jet setting about and living in carbon producing mansions? When Al sets the example maybe I’ll care.

Time to go look at a photo of Bridgette Bardot in a fur coat, some sh*t never gets old.
