So, DirtCrasher helped renew my interest in my 350X tachometer. Probably had it for 10 or 11 years. Took it outta the box and finger-tightened it down for kicks.
I've recently parted with my 350X speedo kit because I feel like the look of the tach is less busy - as opposed to the speedo with the drive cable running down the fork and whatnot.
    Personal preference, of course.

    I am happy!

    Thanks DirtCrasher!

Interesting, is that tach for the 350x or was it made for like the 250r? Seems like the red line at 8.25k rpm is a bit high, but then again I don't think I've ever heard the rev limiter on my 350x while the 400ex CDI I tested on it hit the rev limiter which I read is something like 7k rpm. Does your machine go 8k+ rpm? Clearly don't hold it there or anything, just wondering. I think a tach would be a pretty neat option, a more modern GPS based speedometer might be neat too, but most will be digital and look a bit out of place.

I can't see the back of the tach too well, does it have a spot for a bulb to back light it? I have NOS sockets I modded for the speedometer, didn't know there was also a tach.
