How to clean out the inside of a plastic Gas Tank?

    Hello,

Can anyone offer ideas on how to clean out the inside of a plastic Gas tank from my ATC 250R which has set for some time?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Seafoam worked great when I need a couple 5 gallon plastic cans cleaned out.

Calcium lime and rust AKA CLR comes in gallon jugs and you dilute with water. Should take care of anything stuck to the inside of your tank. Buy it at Home Depot

Sledcrazy is right on the CLR from Home Depot.....but while your there, get the purple degreaser they have as well. It works exceptionally well on old gas/varnish in plastic tanks. Let sit for however long it needs to then follow up with their calcium lime and rust remover. Best method I've found for grody plastic tanks.

    Good luck.
