New to the board
My clutch is stiff. The lever is really hard to pull in and it doesn't seem to function well. It grabs early and the last half of the lever play when letting out seems like it's doing nothing. I've only ever worked on auto 4 stroke clutches so I'm not sure where to attack first.

Usually a stiff clutch is due to a bad cable .
A clutch grabbing early can be caused by a worn out clutch basket , they get groves worn were the clutch plates ride and have a hard time releasing when letting the clutch out .
Pull the outer cover off and inspect .

If I end up replacing the clutch what brand is the best? There seem to be a lot of choices and I'm clueless. Is there a go-to supplier that a lot of you use?

Tusk , dirt digger , OEM all are ok .
Stay away for the cheap China kits
