$75 and it runs and idles!

Put gas in er and she purrs like a kitten. Can't believe it even idles like it does! Drug it out of some old boys nasty shop, put gas in the tank, and voila.

Anyway, popped the clutch cover and found that the bolt has backed out for the star wheel on the shifter, allowing it to pop out of gear. BUT the boss on the case for the detent spring is NOT broken! I'm assuming loctite will take care of the star wheel bolt. But is there anything I can do to make sure the boss on the case doesn't break? Longer bolt maybe?

    Thanks!

Well you can't beat that deal! I can't comment (intelligently) on the transmission issue but it seems that 125's are fraught with shifting problems. Or it could be that I'm misinformed!

From what I understand it's either the detent arm or boss that breaks, or the shifter drum bolt backs out. I think the rest of the trans is really pretty solid. Should be the same as the 110, CT110, etc. Just curious how others generally fix this.
